A tale of two games
Two games came out last November that really caught my attention. One thing that has piqued my interest is how remarkably similar they are.
They have similar first-person modes (above)
They have run buttons
They have annoying companions that consistently say the same things over and over.
In both, you can upgrade your shield.
Both make radical changes to their respective game series in both lore and graphics.
I'm also intrigued by how strikingly different they are, and on what.
One game has a giant, sprawling overworld, rife with dungeons and danger,
-the other was made by Nintendo.
One game has multiple options to upgrade your weapons and armor.
-the other was made by Nintendo.
One game has intruding in peoples homes and rifling through their things
-the other was made by Nintendo.
One game lets you explore, delve into dungeons, and use a myriad of weapons and magics to defeat a large variety of monsters.
-the other was made by Nintendo.
One game has an option of getting a horse and using it to travel around faster.
-the other was made by Nintendo.
One game lets you walk around with a ridiculous amount of stuff that in reality you should never be able to carry around.
-the other was made by Nintendo.
One game sends you through deep, dangerous dugeons, rife with traps, monsters, and a hint of puzzles.
-the other was made by Nintendo.
One is the best Zelda game I have ever played, and is on the track to being one of my favorite games of all time
-the other is The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
One insults your intelligence, treats you like a 7-year old, and was in fact made so a 7-year old could play it.
-The other is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
